During the second quarter of 2021, the top health and fitness applications in the Netherlands showcased diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

CoronaCheck Netherlands saw a remarkable surge in weekly downloads, starting with 815 at the end of March and skyrocketing to approximately 130K by the end of June. Correspondingly, weekly active users increased dramatically from about 2.4K to over 663K, indicating a significant rise in user engagement.

komoot - hike, bike & run experienced consistent weekly revenue, peaking at around $21K towards the end of June. Download numbers fluctuated slightly, maintaining a stable range between 9.8K and 20.8K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a steady increase from approximately 62K to 79K by the end of the quarter.

Ommetje lopen witnessed a decline in weekly downloads, beginning at 31.3K and dropping to around 3.7K by the end of June. The active user base also decreased from over 406K to approximately 163K, reflecting a downward trend in user activity.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike generated significant weekly revenue, consistently above $34K, peaking at $58.9K mid-May. Downloads showed a downward trend from 15.3K to about 5.9K, while active users decreased from 317K to 222K by the end of the quarter, indicating a reduction in engagement.

Step Tracker · Step Counter maintained stable revenue, with figures hovering around $100 to $190 weekly. Downloads decreased from around 9.6K to 3.9K, while active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 106K and 118K.
